Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Jerseyheaven collects when you visit https://jerseyheaven.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices and rights you have. The store is operated by Jerseyheaven, 801 E Locust St, Fort Branch, IN 47648-1217, United States, which is responsible for the personal information described here. If you have any question about your privacy, or want to use one of the rights described below, email support@jerseyheaven.com.

Privacy at a glance

  • We collect only what we need to run the store, deliver your jerseys and help you when you contact us.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • Card details are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, billing address, shipping address and the details of your order, such as the products, sizes and quantities you chose. If a product offers personalisation, we also collect the text you enter, such as a name or number to appear on a jersey. When you create an account, we store your login email and a securely hashed password, along with your saved addresses and order history. When you contact us by email or through the support ticket page, we collect what you write and anything you attach, for example photos of a damaged item.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, our web server and our content delivery and security provider automatically process technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of each request. This happens on almost every website and is needed to deliver pages to you, keep the site secure and stop abusive traffic. We also use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, as explained in section 4.

1.3 Information from other sources

When you pay, the payment provider tells us whether the payment succeeded and gives us limited details such as the payment type and, for cards, the card brand and last four digits, but never your full card number or security code. Shipping carriers send us delivery status updates for your parcels. If the site offers the option to sign in with a social media account and you choose to use it, that service shares basic profile information with us, such as your name and email address, according to the permissions you approve on its screen.

2. How we use your information

  • To fulfil your order: processing payment, packing the right sizes, shipping your parcel, sending order and shipping emails, and handling exchanges, returns and refunds.
  • To support you: answering questions, resolving delivery problems and keeping a record of what we agreed.
  • To keep the store secure: preventing fraud, detecting abuse of the site and protecting your account.
  • To meet legal duties: keeping tax, accounting and consumer-protection records.
  • To improve the store: understanding, in aggregate, which pages and products are useful, using our own server records rather than third-party trackers.
  • To send marketing emails: only if you have agreed to receive them, or where the law allows it. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects order emails.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with similar law, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you for orders and support; our legitimate interests in running a secure, efficient store; your consent for marketing emails and any non-essential cookies; and compliance with legal obligations for tax and accounting records.

3. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the store, and only the information each one needs:

Service providers that receive personal information
Provider type What they receive Why
Payment provider shown at checkout Payment details you enter, order total, billing details To process your payment and refunds securely
Shipping carriers Name, shipping address, phone number if provided, parcel details To deliver your parcel and send tracking updates
Website hosting provider All data stored by the store, including orders and accounts To run the website and store data securely
Content delivery and security provider Technical request data such as IP address and browser To deliver pages quickly and block malicious traffic
Email delivery provider Name, email address and message content To send order, shipping and support emails

These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect the rights, property or safety of Jerseyheaven, our customers or others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale of the store, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies keep your cart, checkout and account working. For example, a cookie remembers that you added an XL jersey to your cart so it is still there when you reach checkout, and another keeps you signed in to your account. The store cannot work without them, so they do not require consent. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. If we ever add tools like these, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before they run.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block essential cookies, the cart, checkout and account pages will not work properly.

5. How long we keep information

Retention periods
Type of information How long we keep it
Order records and invoices As long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years
Customer account Until you ask us to delete it, or after a long period of inactivity
Support emails and tickets As long as useful to resolve your request and any follow-up, then deleted
Marketing preferences Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent
Server and security logs A limited period needed for security and troubleshooting

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous so it can no longer identify you.

6. How we protect information

The whole site uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Account passwords are stored in hashed form, not in plain text. Access to customer information is limited to people who need it to process orders or provide support. Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout, so full card numbers never reach our servers. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information, and if a security incident affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete, such as an old address;
  • delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law, such as order invoices;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • object to or restrict certain uses, including direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising (we do neither);
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@jerseyheaven.com from the address linked to your order or account, and tell us what you would like us to do. We may ask for information to confirm your identity, such as an order number, so that we never give your data to someone else. We respond within the time the law in your location requires, and we never treat you differently for exercising your rights. You may also use an authorised agent where your local law allows; we will ask the agent for proof of authority.

8. Notice for residents of US states with privacy laws

Several US states, including California, give residents specific privacy rights. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in section 1: identifiers (such as name, email and IP address), commercial information (orders and returns), internet activity on our own site (server records) and, where you choose to provide them, photos sent to support. We use and disclose them only for the business purposes in sections 2 and 3. We have not sold personal information, have not shared it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Requests to know, correct or delete can be sent to the support email above, and we will confirm receipt and respond within the period your state law requires.

9. Personalised text and photos you send us

If a product lets you add a name, number or other text, we use that text only to produce and check your order, to handle any exchange and to resolve questions about it. We do not publish it or use it in marketing. Photos you send us for a damaged or wrong item are used to assess your claim and may be shared with the carrier when a claim concerns transit damage. If you would like us to delete such photos once your case is closed, just ask.

10. Children’s privacy

Our store sells adult sizes and is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International visitors and transfers

Jerseyheaven is based in the United States and our store and providers operate primarily there. If you visit or buy from Canada, Australia, New Zealand or elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers work. Data protection laws there may differ from those in your country. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as contractual protections with our providers.

12. Your account and order emails

If you create an account, you can update your name, email address and saved addresses yourself under My account. Order confirmations, shipping notices and replies to your support requests are transactional messages; we send them because they are needed to deliver your order, and you cannot unsubscribe from them while an order is active. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and we will keep only the order records the law requires.

13. Links to other websites

Our pages may link to other websites, such as a carrier’s tracking page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information. Check their policies before you share personal information with them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, the tools we use or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email or with a clear notice on the site before the change takes effect.
